Mobile Pentium 4 2.0 or 2.2 vs. Mobile Celeron 1.5 GHz
the P4 is obviously faster, but how much so?
Is the Celeron 1.5 based on the P3 or the P4?
The reason I ask is because I'm looking for a new laptop and want something powerful, but not something so powerful I'll need to take out a mortgage to buy - and the P4s take the cake in that department.
My Inspiron 8100 w/ a P3 1.2 GHz CPU is really sweet, but my dad was thinking about getting a laptop and wanted to take mine. I could then buy a new one.
Teh Inspiron 2650C looks like a great deal! Celeron 1.5 w/ decent RAM.
I'm going to be using it for word processing, spreadsheets, multimedia (DVDs, playing movies, MP3s), heavy heavy internet usage, occaisonal gaming (circa 1999-2000 stuff, my favs), CAD (AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering SPICE-based simulations, etc)
I have another more powerful system for disc burning, and for playing the latest games.
