Which is better?????

Which would you choose?
A K6-3+ 450 running smoothly at 600Mhz at 2.3v (6x100)
or
A K6-3+ 450 running smoothly at 560Mhz at 2.1v (5.5x112)

The difference; one has a 7% increase in cpu clock speed, the other has a 12% increase in bus speed. Which one would you choose?

I was thinking that 600Mhz would be better, coz I has to have my L3 cache DISabled anyway to get the chip running. So the bus bandwith advantage should be minimal.
I tried 616Mhz (5.5x112) but couldn't get it stable, even at 2.6v!! The default voltage is 2.0v.

Any suggestion or help would be great! Thanks!!

Wow! Could you run RC5 on that 600Mhz K6III? Since it's only testing the integer performance, i'm interested to see how it stacks up against the Duron!

i'd say the 560 would be faster since overall bus is increased. try benchmarking winbench or quake3 or something to see some results.

Thanks you all for the comments.

I'd say that I go with the 600Mhz (6x100) .. I read a few past K6-3 articles and it seems that the bus speed has negligible increase in performance since the K6-3 has its L2 at full speed.
What sucks is my L3 .. I had to disable it in order for my K6-3+ to run. I'm using a FIC PA-2013 ver2.0

Does anybody know about this L3 issue?

Has anybody got their K6-3+ 450 to run at 616Mhz or above?
