Classic Athlon 1ghz or the T-Bird 1ghz??

If you plan on keeping that KA7-100, go for the classic.

In terms of performance, the T-Bird is better.

T'bird is faster for almost anything. I have heard some very rare cases of it being slightly slower because it has a smaller total cache(even though the onboard cache is 3 times as fast). But this was only on one program.
