That's what I figured too. Somewhere in 2006 so that they can compete against the M2. The post makes it sound like it's coming rather soon :)

Quick question regarding the P5WD2
Will a future bios update or chipset update allow SLi or cross fire to be used on the board?

I'm checking that out right now. It's been a while since I've ventured out of this forum and gone to main-site AT.

Dude, its not dumb. Ive used AMD and intel before.
Im not an extreme gamer, and want something so i can use those dual core conroes coming next year.

Yes, im do heavy multitasking. e.g, 5 programs all at once (depends on how busy i am), photoshop, music, decoding and etc.

My northwood 3.0ghz.. is dying i suppose to the torment i put it through. Screen not responding, slow reaction, :D
IF i was a gamer, AMD of course.
The AMD X2 heh? Conroe looks way better. 65nm process, higher clocks due to the process while maintaining short pipes, 4mb L2 cache, and all the goodies.

I need DDR2 also, at least 2gb, while AMD cant even support 4x512 at the right speed (like 2T, or 333mhz).
