Which is better, XP or 2k4

this has been discussed to death. do a search for xp in the OS forum and you'll find a few good informative threads. that being said, i'd go windows xp.

With the advent of SP2 I think this question has changed a bit. The "features" in SP2 cover up some of the inherent flaws in IE. Case in point, the infobar. Of course on 2K, you could not use IE, load your own firewall, etc. However, I really think these extra features tip the scale a little more in XPs favor...

Unless you have good personal reasons for using 2000, go for XP.

Myself: I already have 2K installed and it works just fine. I also cant stand the new layout for user management and networking, so I'll just sit tight. Both have the functionality.

I just saw the South Park Movie (again). My favorite part is when the General's video display goes out - and he demands to see Bill Gates - Bill Gates is escorted in - and the General shoots him in the head.

Maybe in a bubble, but every system is 100% secure if it is 0% accessable...

I think he was referring to 3.11 being secure.

In regards to the layout of 2K vs. XP: all layouts in 2K can be changed to look exactly the same as XP.
