Which is better WP or MT?

Does anyone know which would be better as a platform?

I am starting up a blog (+ community site) with a bunch of bloggers and it will hopefully have forums and some other small sections. I want it to be stylish (I'm currently learning CSS so I can code a layout). I was thinking of using Wordpress + the Word Press "forum" system that you can link via addons.

I see some big name "designers" use Moveable Type however. I cant seem to find a good comparison about the advantages for each, especially in a situation like mine.

Do the websavvy of AT have any suggestions? Thanks!

Neither. Drupal blows them both away if you're after anything bigger than a simple blog.

Drupal seems bulky, unintuitive, and hard to customize. Like I can tell whenever a site is using Drupal because of the layouts, bulkiness, and features. Am I missing something here?

Most of the big name community driven sites and blogs seem to run something other then Drupal. I wonder what they run though
