My new projector comes with VGA and Svideo in only. Which is better to use for picture quality so I can connect my Philps DVP 5140 DVD player to my projector please?

This picture shows the Component to VGA adapter that comes with my projector.

DVD player doesn't have svideo

As you can see I will have to buy a Component Video Cable just not sure if I should rather try to get one with a s-video connector or the end or not. Not sure if svideo is a lot better than VGA or if they are both equal ?

I believe that component through your VGA adapter will yield a little better result than s-video.

Which projector do you have?

IINW VGA must be better than S-video since it has native RGB signals. Component-to-VGA will be still better than S-video.

Does anyone know what kind of cable I would use to be able to connect audio from my dvd player to my computer ? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage...DVP5140+DivX+Ultra+DVD+Player+-+Retail

Plus beable to connect audio from my tv tuner card to my computer?

That way I can hear all dvds playing from my dvd player and all tv channels from my tv turner card on my headphones ? Would I have to switch audio cables constantly if I wanted to use the dvd player one day and tv tuner card to watch tv the next ? I really don't want to have to do that please.

FFS edit your existing post instead of adding new ones. Besides this is not the correct forum to ask this stuff.

I may need to buy one of those adaptors like some headphones come with where it allows you to plug your headphones into a tv headphone jack. Not going to do that just I think that will allow me to beable to plug one end into my sound card where the main connector on one end wouldn't plug in. Not sure though.
