Just bought a g4 ti4200 in FS?FT forum. Which cooler would be better to throw on it?
The TT Crystal orb: Crystal Orb
or The Vantec Iceberg Solid Copper: Vantec

both are roughly the same price.

Thanks.

Thanks, I have 2 of them now on the vid cards in my rigs, but wanted to see if the newer Vantec would be any better. They both same $$ so.

;) Don't expect much gain over any std 4200 cooling solution, but of course if you fancy giving it a try go ahead, you might get lucky.

I might just swap whats on their now to my G3ti200 and take the tt crystal orb off it and throw it on the g4 4200.

What brand/model of g4 ti4200 did you get? I think the standard/enchaced (individual manufactures) g4 coolers are well designed it's the compound that might cause some cooling loss. Pull the gpu heatsink/fan and check for an even amount. If you got patches then replay and attach. This might help you, but I'll have to agree with AnAndAustin, don't expect too much eitherway.

gainward/cardexpert 64mb ti4200 non Gs, but 3.5ns ram.

I will see what it comes with. I have plenty of AS, so I can slap it on if need be.

Have you done any benchmarks to see if it improves or not?
