I want to hold a small P200 fan onto my clock generator and I was wondering which adhesive is better. Thanks.

I think the thermal epoxy is better as far as heat transfer goes. But the tape is better when it comes time to take it off.

In order the best is Artic silver, followed by aluminum oxide, thermal epoxy, then plain ol' thermal paste (silicon paste), with thermal tape coming in last. The easiest to clean up is thermal tape however, with thermal epoxy the worst because it is an epoxy, creating a very very strong bond.

For putting a fan on the clock generator, I would go with the tape. Paste and epoxy are better, but for what you're doing, probably not worth it.
