I k now that the WPC55AG was an editor's choice on cnet.com, but which is better for me - that or the WPC54G? i'm planning on getting the ibm thinkpad t40 which has intergrated wi-fi wireless. does that mean i already have the a and b on it? i'm concerned ith the 801.22g (54g) so would i only need to get the Linsys WPC54G (which is also a bit cheaper in price)? thinking of getting the Netgear WGR614 Wireless router, too. THANK YOU FOR ANY FEEDBACK.

If the laptop has integrated wireless, then there really isn't a need for a Wireless PC Card.

so even if i want to use 802.11g networks, i don't need a wireless pc card? i'm confused - i thought the thinkpad t40 integrated wi-fi is for use with 802.11b networks.

If the device you are going to use wirelessly is mainly for internet use, go with a B router since you're bottleneck is going to be your cable/dsl. However, if you're going to share files between the wireless devices, then go with a G router. Also, if cost is no concern, go with the G. Both Linksys and Netgear currently use the draft specs for G but will provide firmware updates for the ratified G...
