Having used 4 Seagate Barracuda IV's (soon 5) I can say they are excellent drives. They are no speed demon but they are truly silent. You won't believe how quiet they are till you hear (or don't hear) one! From the benchmarks I have run, they are just as fast as the Maxtor DM+60 series. As of right now I recommend the Seagate Barracuda IV 100%!
