Which is better...ASUS V7700 or Blaster Annihilator 2?

Going for the new graphics card, GTS 2 model. Which card is better in your opinion?

Does the Blaster have a problem with the ASUS mobo? Is there a dreaded "coppermine vs creative" issue, like I saw on an earlier thread?

They're about the same price so I'm inclined to go with the Asus since I have an ASUS mobo, but the Annihilator sure seems more popular overall.

I am the one that posted the "dreaded Coppermine vs Creative" comment. I previously posted a message of concern about Coppermine compatibility in general as I had encounterred mulitple problems that matched several posts I read in other forums. I concluded there might possibly a compatibility issue. Several people responded they had no problems at all with the same processor (PIII 700E). I got one post of agreement at Intel's site. The concept originated from the requirement for new drivers for the Creative SoundBlaster Live! sound card to work with Coppermines. There is also a problem with some programs unable to create a Direct Draw surface without a patch. I have seen no reasons to suspect the Annihilator series video card as a problem. You might contact Creative's tech support and ask them what are the common complaints concerning Coppermine and what are the cures. Try calling several times to get experiences from several techs. (Or ask if they use a data base first) I learned that Creative video cards will not work in some Compaq's with onboard video.
