I wanna to start a webpage, free of course,
which one is better, the 2 I mentioned above or some other?

and I know jack about webpage making, where can I learn some basic stuff?

Actually, it all depends. If you are looking for something that gives you little flexibility and no cgi, geocities and Angelfire are fine. If you want more control, but harder to use, try www.hypermart.net.

DO NOT go with angelfire. I hate it. I used to like it but man it has really been getting on my nerves. Everytime you post a link to a picture I get a stupid ANGELFIRE logo.

And I haven't been able to get into my webshell today so far.

I've been using Envy.nu for a while and have found it to be pretty good. No ads or anything at the moment, but the downside is that it is a bit slower than others out there.

doesn't anyones ISP's give them webspace anymore? i've used geocities and sh!t like that before, but my ISP now give me 50mb of webspace for free, which can be accessed via ftp. very fast, and plenty of space (unless you plan on runnning a pr0n empire ). then all you have to do is get a namezero domain, and remove their ad, and your all set

of course, namezero wont want you to remove the ad, but that doesn't stop anyone

Yes, there are some free ones that are for pr0n and nudity sites ONLY. I don't know the URLs though.

If you want to learn basic to low intermediate HTML and a tad of JavaScript you can try by starting HERE. Also you can even do a search at about.com and they normally have some good stuff to.

O yeah...WEBMONKEY has some good tutorials as well! I always run my own host so I cant help ya on the free ones...sorry!
