Which is best refresh fix for det.29.42 win xp?? and tuning programs

Hi I have new card Gainward Geforce4ti4200 128Mb , which is really nice peace I think,, great 2d quality also,, but I havent found on net really best and working refresh fix program for official detonators 29.42,, could you give me advice, which one are you using??? and could someone give me a link to best program ?? thankie so much,,
by the way overclocking stability on 311 and I think higher really bit for core is possible and 550 for memory,, i think memory is out at 560, crash of system, something between that is top of card,, not bad , not best also, but I am happy with this great card.

I don't like using ANY of the refreshrate fix programs out there. I simply edit the .inf prior to install and then forget about it.

This is what I use to set all resolutions (16 and 32bit color) from 1280x1024 and below to 85hz.

Just extract the v29.42 drivers into a temp directory with Winzip and open the nv4_disp.inf file with Notepad (don't use MSWord or Wordpad). Stroll down to the row applicable to your GF4 (which begins with "HKR,, NV25_Modes_Delta.........." - see above). Replace the entire row with the string that I have above. Save and reinstall with the new .inf. Your refresh rate problem should be fixed.

Some notes:

You'll notice I'm using "-75-" for 85hz. Don't worry. This is correct. You use the number just below your desired refresh rate. Ex. for 75hz = use "-72-", for 100hz = use "-85-", etc.. This is not an unauthorized hack. Information on how to do this is available from the nVidia site, but because it looks a lot like programming, it tends to scare some people off.

This is the absolute BEST way to set the refreshrate IMO. No external programs to worry about. Just set it and forget it.

If you want a program that does more or less everything try RivaTuner ,on the other hand if you want just a simple NV refresh fix try NVRefreshTool .

Thanks folks,, I am running with no prob. with some registry tool refresh fix from one skillfull person,, its ok I set all to 85hz and its great.
My card is running good at 311mhz and memory now 570mhz, and I am not going higher, in many previews I read that maximum memory speed on my gainward card was 570, and I am not trying higher, I am so happy, but core frequency havent reach exactly preview top, 315mhz caused freez,, but its great, for that many this performance

RivaTuner is by far the best way to do it. After a few clicks the program edits the registry and removes all refresh rates other than the ones you picked and the problem's gone for good. You never even need to run the program again.
