I play games like Counter Strike at high resolutions. Also I like good 2D graphics.

Also the Gefroce is 8 bucks more than the Kyro II

thx

It appears that you have listed the same card twice....but it also appears that you meant the Kyro II to be the other. Here's my take: GF2 is better for T&L games, Kyro II is better for non-t&l. cstrike is not t&l. Kyro II has better 2D.

If your going for a Geforce, I think the extra $25 on the MSI 831 (newegg.com) is money well spent. I got a good %20 increase in memory speed over the GTS and I like the idea of the extra 32mb of memory. It's out of stock right now, but they usually get them in within a couple of days.

The Kyro II is a very nice card as well. I like the price and picture quality most of all. If ~120.00 is your selling point, this card maybe your ticket.

If you're really into CounterStrike and good 2D performance, get the Kyro II. It's a little bit cheaper than the GF2 GTS and will generally outperform a GTS 32MB in most games. It has excellent 2D picture quality and it's tile-based rendering makes sure that it only renders what's actually on the screen. All in all, it's a great card for the money.
