Which is a better processor?

CPU Speed ML-32(1.8GHz)
CPU FSB up to 1600MHz system bus
CPU L2 Cache 512KB

OR

CPU Type Intel Core Duo
CPU Speed 1.66GHz
CPU FSB 667MHz
CPU L2 Cache 2MB

Mainly for photoshop image editing purposes. And with regard to battery life.

For what you're looking at, I'd go with the Core Duo. With the same battery and screen size, you'll get longer battery life. For Photoshop use, these two should perform pretty closely. The Core Duo will also help with multitasking - it'll make the whole computer feel snappier when you've got a few things going at once.
At least until we see how competitive from a power usage standpoint AMD's dual core Turions are, I'd say go with the Core Duo.
