I'm looking to get a 9800 Pro (either 128MB or 256MB) and I want it VERY quiet. SVC has two heatpipe coolers, Thermaltake and Zalman's. Are either of these adequate in cooling the 9800 Pro? Are they better than the stock cooler? And if they are, which heatpipe is better? I like the Zalman because it has no fan, but the Thermalatke looks like it might cool the card better. Anyway, what are your thoughts?

the heatpipes are passive coolers arnt they? the active ones should be better but the passives are silent there has been some sort of a fad lately about silent computing. personally, i want my computer to have massive fans and coolers.

You might ask / search the forums at www.silentpcreview.com to see if anyone is using either with a 9800 yet. The zalman is used by Sapphire for their 9700 Pro fanless, don't know about the new 9600 pro fanless.

The review of 9700 Pro I read at ? HardOCP ? (might be link at newegg) seemed to indicate little or no headroom for O/C so a 9800 Pro might be too hot.
