Leaving out the "special" or honorary Iron chefs, who would you pick to cook you supper?

Mine would be Chen.. but Batali has been making some tasty looking dishes too.
 
my friend says morimoto, but every time I watch this show, they're doing something with Eel. I think Head from KoRn was a judge on their show.
 
I definitely prefer Japanese food from that list so it's either Michiba or Morimoto

From these two, I have to choose morimoto because Michiba's cooking seems too traditional japanese for my tastes.
 
After watching Flay's BBQ show, I'd pick him. I love me some BBQ.

Batali would be a 2nd choice.

Some of the asian chefs get pretty weird with their food choices. I'm not a fan of shark fin or eel farts (SNL reference if you didn't get it).
 
Having Flay in the same room would ruin the meal for me. Nausea is bad for the appetite. I voted Sakai, but Morimoto is a close second.
 
Honestly, I dont think I'd want any of them to cook me dinner. Most of the stuff they make looks interesting, but I wouldnt ingest it.
 
I find Iron Chef fascinating because the stuff these guys come up with within such a short period of time is unbelievable. Also - needless to say - Chairman Kaga rules!

However, being a white American male who loves pizza and cheeseburgers, I'm just curious if any of these dishes would be suitable for my tastes. Anybody here had something as exotic as the food displayed on IC?

if you go to any of the super over priced really fancy resturants in most major cities you can get food like that, however its harder to find uber nie asian places on the east coast, ive been to 1 or 2 and the food is amazing, you however have to like things like eel, shark and whatever
 
Sakai definately is the best choice, he can make japanese food too.

I'll get to pick the theme of the day too. so I'll go with safe choices like

Lobster
Beef
Mushroom
Tofu
Tuna
 
Iron Chef Sakai followed closely by Iron Chef Chen.

I refuse to acknowledge Flay as an Iron Chef. I say to Flay, "SCREW YOU AND YOUR BLUE CORN TORTILLAS!"
