The great thing about iPhone is that you have to buy it only once. The annual upgrades are near free or even free+profit if you sell your old iPhone. If only they wouldn't track your every footstep. ;)

3G 8GB. Bought it last year when it was $99. I'll upgrade when the next version comes out, probably around December when my contract is up.

Yeah, not interested in who does NOT have an iPhone.

That poll can go in GG&P.

8gb 3g

I jailbroke it and am on tmobile right now at a $40 per month savings for the same service. I have no desire to upgrade away from that.

I'll get the IP5 if the latest rumors are true about the 3.7" screen.
Dual core, same body but slightly bigger screen for me is enough.
Wish it would be 4" but I'll settle for 3.7"
Same 3.5" screen would be a NO for me regardless of other factors.

I have a black iPhone 3G 16GB... which now sits in my desk drawer. I now use a Droid X for my personal cell phone, and an HTC Inspire 4G for my work phone.

The HTC Inspire 4G is my favorite... everything on that phone just WORKS. No weird lockups or crashes like I occasionally see on the iPhone or the Droid.

I think the iPhone 3G is just showing it's age as more apps are being developed to take advantage of the newer hardware.

Now, for the Droid X, well, it sucks to be honest with you. I've had it for a year, and I've tried everything to get it from locking up/crashing/etc, and well, I just can't. I haven't had a chance to play with the Inspire, but I can believe that HTC optimized Sense/Android.

I still want to get an iPhone 4 just for the fact that I feel there would be fewer lock ups/crashes on that phone in comparison to my X.

The iPhone 3G was great until I made the mistake of upgrading it to iOS 4. Ever since then, the phone was slow as well, and apps crashed on it frequently because it was running out of memory. The iOS 4.1 update didn't help, but iOS 4.2 ran slightly better. I had already defected to the Android camp at that point, though.
