I was considering building a small home file/application server around an AMD Fusion minITX motherboard. Something that would give me six or more onboard SATA drive headers. The AMD Fusion solution is attractive due to the low cost, integrated graphics, and the support of multiple drives.
But I see that there are a few socket 1155 miniITX motherboards with up to six SATA headers. I'd just need to find the Intel equivalent CPU, both in terms of processing power and energy use. I'd probably go with two cores, possibly four if I can still keep the TDP under 65W.
