I am looking for a new server and I want to be sure to get at least a woodcrest chip in it. (Low power + faster ftw).

Intel is doing the stupid number scheme thats hard to understand.

I found this chart, but it doesn't specify whats what. I found an article that says the 5030-5080 are older P4 based, and the 5110-5160 are woodcrest, but what about the others?

Is there a more detailed chart somewhere? Thanks.

The 50xx and 71xx series are Netburst (Dempsey and Tulsa, respectively). The 30xx (Conroe), 51xx (Woodcrest), and x53xx (Clovertown, these always have a one-letter prefix) are all Core microarchitecture. More on Xeon model numbers.
