which Intel 320 SSD should I buy?

yeah definitely get the bigger one. you want to run the 320gb at 160 to 200gb so it lasts about as long as the intel 710 (server duty load LONG TIME!).

even with trim, OP (even 10-20%) helps immensely with longevity.

You'd be surprised at what writes to your drive. defrag (doh!) antivirus(cache of scanned files), backup (set archive bit), last accessed bit, indexing system, caches.

i'd say one could optimize out 90% of their writes to make that drive last a lot longer, but many folks don't.

Any good apps to record over a week or month all writes?
