Looking for opinions on indoor OTA HDTV Antennas...seen the Terk55 and a Zenith...not sure what to get.

I tried an outdoor antenna and am missing ABC..and ABC is where Monday Night Football plays...so I HAVE to fix this before the season starts!!!!

Opinions?

Heh, I'm using my old Terk powered AM/FM radio antenna for HDTV. It picks up all of the local stations.

I use the Radio Shack 15-1862 VHF/UHF multi-directional with built-in preamp. It's been discontinued, but you may still want to check your local Radio Shack. I was able to find one for $10.

did you guys get good signals with these smaller cheaper antennas? I was using a set of rabbit ears that worked pretty good...but if someone walked by the tv...the tv would momentarily lose signal...

???

The Zenith Silver Sensor is pretty well regarded to be one of the best available, since it performs so well and is so affordable.

The two best indoor UHF's are probably the Zenith Silver Sensor and the Radio Shack Double Bowtie (discontinued). Great products.

I've been using this thing for awhile. It's OK, but I think I need a replacement.

EDIT: That's an outdoor antenna. A little off topic, but still relevant I think...

What kind of antenna would be best at handling channels evenly spread between 2 and 39?

I tried the Terk55. It sucked @ss. A pair of rabbit ears worked better. Its not like I live in bumfvck nowhere either. Exchanged it for a DirecTIVO. Now there's money well spent:D

Yes it is. With HDTV, you either have a signal or you don't, there's no in between. I used a radio shack powered indoor antenna here in Central california and was able to pick up a lot of the Fresno area channels. I took it down to Orange in SoCal where my sister lives, and was able to pick up every single local HD channel. Now I'm signed up with Comcast, I don't use my OTA HD receiver anymore.
