It's for an exercise due this week. We have to use an element from a character we made previously last month (Mine was a samurai, the element is the sword) and then make an icon out of that element. The additional feature is that it must incorporate a letter somehow.

Which do you guys like better ?

That is why I voted for the X, I would not have known it was an R unless you had told us.
 
I wasn't going for 100% accuracy on the swords, they took less than 30 seconds in illustrator. I just need the image of a sword.
