Inspired by the Cold Stone thread, and I couldn't find a previous post.

I also added a few fast food places that are known for their desserts, e.g. Dairy Queen.

Let me know if I'm missing any places.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot Amy's...

Amy's Ice Cream, Austin, TX

Marble Slab and Ben & Jerry's are a tie for second.

Might Want to add Ben & Jerry's to your list.

the only major ones around here are marble slab and cold stone.

I like my ice cream by itself. Cold stone relies too much on their toppings. before you know it you have a soup of candy. I've tried sweet cream from both places without any extra crap and I have to say I like marble slab better.
