I'm going to remove the stock HS/fan on a 32Mb VisionTek GeForce GTS. I was wondering which of the following should I get as a replacement:

Copper Video Heatsink

BlueOrb

Both are confirmed to fit just fine with the clips that come with the card.

Also does anyone know if VisionTek uses just heatsink paste or a thermal epoxy on the GPU? What is the best way get the sucker off if it is glued on?

Finally does the card use 4 or 8 memory chips? I want to mount some small heatsinks on the memory to get a little extra juice out of the card.

Well Copper has better heat transfer then other metals im guessing the blorb isn't as good at heat transfer. But then again the orbs have a diffrent design that might help. Then look at CPU heatsink comparisons the hedgehog (all copper heatsink) beats any orb any day. I say go with the copper one you could use a better fan for more airflow.

I spent the extra $2 and went with the copper HS/fan.

Now the question is how easy will it be to mount everything. I plan on using ArcticSilver paste on the GPU and ArcticSilver Epoxy on the memory chips.

Well, the stock hsf is plenty I think. Overclocking the core doesn't do anything really anyways. I would just add some heatsinks to the memory and oc the memory a bunch, that's where you'll find the biggest performance increase.

Overclocking the GPU creates a lot of heat, and not too much in preformance gain. I find if you leave the core and overclock the memory as much as u can,you get the best increase in preformance. Be wise on your choice of memory sinks.
