Which headset is better for gaming, mainly CS. Ive heard good things about both. Only thing im worried about is the fact taht the dsp 500's are usb. ive never used a pair of usb headphones before and was wondering if they have any complications.

I got the pc-150's right now mainly because they were cheaper but I think they're pretty nice. So far i only got two gripes, the wire is really thin so i can see someone breaking the connection if they accidentally trip over the cord and also, for me, the headphones were a little tight in the beginning. I've worn them for a few weeks now and they've started to fit me better but initially they squeezed my ears. The reasons I didn't get the dsp-500 (I was contemplating getting that first) was because it was more expensive and I'm not sure if the DSP module compares to the processing power of a good sound card.

Well my soundcard is onboard, its liek a realtek ac90 or something like that. Ive found it to be ok so far. Im also wondering if the usb will have any problems.

My Dad has a set of DSP-500's and they hiss really badly. Also here's a hint, if you buy them and find them slipping forward on your head wear a baseball cap under them and it'll fix it.

The Sennheiser PC155s are probably one of the nicest sets you'll find. They do have an optional USB connecter but can also be used with the standard analog jacks. If you have onboard sound the USB DSP would probably sound better anyhow. Last time I looked on Newegg they were 140 or so... meanwhile MWave had them for 99 last I saw.

I can also vouch for the Sennheiser PC150s as a set is currently resting on top of my head. Much better than the Plantronics Audio .90s of which I went through 3 sets before finding out about the Sennhesier PC150s. They're pretty comfortable and have good sound quality not only in terms of listening quality but also in in terms of the mic quality. After personally going through 3 sets of Plantronics myself and my own girlfriend (who is also using Sennheiser PC150s now) going through 2 sets you can be pretty sure that I'll never buy Plantronics ever again.

Sennheiser really makes quality headphones, most people who have used them usually recommend them.

Oh yeah, I also own a pair of Sennheiser HD 500s...

alright, in my clan, a few of us have the plantronics ones, and one of my friends has the sennheiser
we use it over ventrilo and in game, but mostly ventrilo
my plantronics are holding up good, and i've had no problems whatsoever
but over time i have heard that they start to get worse and worse, more and more problems
my friend has had his sennheisters for a while, and no probs at all, i've only heard good things about them
i would go with them for sure
