I've bascially narrowed it down to 3 choices in 3 different price ranges: Rumble FX's for 50, Sony MDR-v700 for 100 and Sennheiser HD580 for 200. I'm mostly a gamer and would like a pair of headphones that just seem "worth it" I am willing to cough up the 200 for the senn's if they are THAT much better than the others. So I'm looking either for recommendations from people who have heard more than one or something I can throw out cuz it's absolute crap.

I just recently got a pair of the Sennheiser HD495 Silvers, and for $70 they are great headphones. I know the HD580 are very nice, but I personally don't think it's worth it just for gaming.

I've got the Sennheiser 565's and I would NOT trade them for the world.

Personally, I think they're worth it, but everyone values money AND sound differently. If you are concerned, I'd buy them some place you can return them.

You might wanna check e-bay, I got mine NEW for <$100.

I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD535 yesterday, but i am going to return them because for an extra $20 online i can get the same headphones plus the DSP-360 which gives headphones Dolby Surrond sound and is a headphone amp. the HD535s are great headphones but they really do need an amp because they are like 150 ohms so a normal CD players or Computer doesnt drive them well at all. But for $99 with that dolby digital thing i bet they will be really awsome.
