These Panasonic

or...

These Sony

I know nothing about headphones. I just want a pair that sound good (not looking for deep bass really). And people beside me on the bus on my way home from University don't hear them. Because that really pisses me off.

THats alot of $$$ to spend on headphones, personnally I like the 99 cent generic walmart earbuds. (I buy 10 of em incase one breaks)

I use earbuds for jogging, but all the noise on the bus is annoying. I am selling 2 mouses tomorrow so i'll have some spare change lying around.

Sony's are closed, grado's are open, I would suggest going with the Shure because you want it to be portable.

Thanks for the input, but I am looking to spend half that much, and I wanted some headphones the covered the ear.

Sony ex51/71s get a recommendation, as well as sharp md33 which you can get for $40 at audiocubes. Also check out the senn mx500s.
If you want ones on the ear, I recommend the koss ksc series 35/50/55/75 or the porta pro or ktxpro1s.
Over the ear phones tend to be a bit large and I don't know about portability.
