Which HD MP3 player would you get?

Edit: I want a HD model that can act as a portable storage device as well.

I initially wanted the IPOD mini, but someone conviced me to spend the extra $50 for an extra 11GB. Now I want to spend the extra $100 for the remote, case, dock and extra 5gb.

Now, I heard that a 4th gen IPOD is due out. Is this true? What are the differences?

I'm also considering other brands, such as the Dell Jukebox and Iriver devices.

Please post your opinions.

iRivers rock. They're expensive but are better than iPods for a PC due to their USB mass storage device drivers. They're basically a USB hard drive with tons of sweet firmware mp3 player features. :)

If I can't get a player to hold all of my music(60+ gigs) I want the smallest player that I can get. IPod mini for me.

some of the iPods had a battery that seemingly needed replacement every year and a half. Is that still an issue? That's kind of holding me back from making the iPod jump.

Do you have any electronic stores near you that allow you to see/listen to the player before buying?

I would go for the Iriver. The main complaint that most people have is the lack of support. However, it seems that Iriver is trying to change that with a firmware release schedule and new accessories.

IPOD (15G)

I can't convince myself to pay $50 dollars less for something that has 1/5 of the memory, just because it's smaller and colored!!
