which has more prestige? acura or infiniti?

one other point to be considered:

prestige isn't something that happens overnight. it has to be earned by years of making quality products that people respect. MB and BMW didn't get their reputation by making one or two good cars in recent years. in fact, they've made a lot of cars people HATE in recent years, but they still enjoy massive prestige.

so let's take a look back, shall we?

infiniti's 1991 offerings:

G20
M30, second ugliest car ever, after the J30
Q45 (when's the last time you saw one of THESE on the road?

acura's 1991 offerings:

integra, a "legend" in it's own time (pardon the pun)
Legend, still one of the best looking sedans ever, and bulletproof
NSX, N-S-sex, and again, still one of the best looking cars of all time

Also, note the prices that those cars command these days. the Q45's engine is 50% bigger than the Legend's, yet it commands $1000 less. the G20 is worth half of what the integra is worth, and M30 is so unattractive that is shouldn't even count as an offering. infiniti has had a couple good cars recently, the G35 and the M45, but the current Acura offerings aren't too far behind, and they come with something Infiniti lacks: a history people aren't ashamed of.

umm, not to be a fanboi or anything but as far as luxury...price for price, car for car, acura has the trump on infiniti.

I love the G35, but the TL simply has more luxury/features.

I own a '05 RL and don't consider it to have presitge. It is very functional for the money though. I know my old Q45a would kick sand in its day.

Acura baby. I own an rsx-s and it rocks... course it's more of a nice nice honda with a badass amazing inline 4 pushing out 201hp (SAE) yes and 142lb/ft torque (laugh).
