Which half-life do i have to get for Counter-Strike ?

hey everyone, got a question.
i started to feel a little nostalgic for Coutner-Strike the other day so i went to dust off my half life CD but realize that i must of lost it in a move or something.
so now i have to pick up a new copy and was looking at EB's site for an idea of prices i'll find. Then i realize that things got more complicated w/ this "Steam" deal and all the versions of HL they have out now.

so my question is this. which version of half-life do i have to get now to play Counter-Strike and DOD ? Can i just get this GOTY version and play all my mods like i used to or do i actually have to shell out $30 for Counter-Strike in a box and another $20 for DOD ? any input is appreciated. thanks.
 
I have the HL GoTY edition.
I just installed the game, patched up, and then downloaded the Steam/CS pack - free.
You can buy pretty much any version I believe.
 
If you buy Half-Life or any of the mods (CS, DoD, TFC, etc.) then you get access to everything through Steam.
