Which Guitar Hero?

Never tried Guitar Hero before and thought I'd give it a shot. With Thanksgiving/Christmas coming up I think it'd be a fun party game for the family.

Which version should I get? If I go with GH3, should I get it for the 360 or Wii? Does the guitar work with version 2 and 3 for the 360?
 
I would say for the 360 just because of the DLC. As far as I am aware there is not any DLC for Wii, I may be wrong though. Yes the guitar is backwards/forwards compatible. I use my GH3 guitar on GH2, GH3, GH: WT, RB1, and RB2, so no worries about that.
 
I'd go for the 360 version as well just cause of DLC. There are a handful of free songs (the Halo theme song is quite fun to play).

I still buy the GH's for the PS2 though since I've been playing since GH1 and had 2 guitars.
