I see this one at 1 gig memory, and OC'ed to 715, and I like the cooling solution:

Or this one at 800, but I don't like the cooling:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814261076

Or this one with 768 meg and 765 mhz.

I don't care about game performance, these will be used for folding. I want max speed/$$ and it has to be sort of quiet. (noise is secondary, I run them at 70% fans for by 216's, and they are a little loud) I just don't want jet engines. And $200-250 is my price range.

If you can find a GTX 470 in that price range and you can live with the noise/power draw, you might want to consider that instead.

My brother's gtx 470 oc'ed to about 850 gets 50% more points than my GTX 460 768mb oced to 870.

I just got the Gigabyte GTX 460...even OCed to 800mhz, the card stayed under 70C with about 20C ambients and was dead silent even with the case open...pretty nice and it comes with a VRM heatsink too. I would pick that one.

If you are on Newegg's mailing list, you can get an MSI 470-

$299 - $20 MIR - 10% off with coupon code

Edit: It also looks that the 10% off will apply to the Palit 460.

I am on the list, but even after rebate (and thats only the first card, thinking of 10) its still $270, and only 607 mhz (I have not had good luck OC'ing video cards, just CPU's) and the ones above are 715 and 763 guaranteed.

My gut is telling me the Gigabyte, also the reply above this.

Also keep in mind that if you are going for 24/7 folding, the Asian-based board partners dont have as strong of warranties.

I bought the Palit GTX 460 1GB with that coupon. You're basically getting a 1GB version for the price of a 768MB version. All of the whiners who complained about the lack of VRM coolers probably didn't realize that most of the other partner boards lacked them as well. It has phenomenal oc potential and don't forget you can buy the coolers yourself if you really want to. Palit is also issuing a BIOS update to amend any noise/fan issues that could result from this.
