well, the msi is $205 AR, so that's the best of those 3 listed. palit offers a gtx 460 for $190 AR right now, however, that's probably a better deal even when you take into account the vendor.

So for the GTX 460s at least, it's mainly about the price? Are they all about equivalent in regards to performance and reliability?

yeah, only concern is about additional support that msi would offer vs palit (like actually staying in businss so you can get warranty service done, msi afterburner, etc). if afterburner will work on the palit that it's a no-brainer, if it doesn't then msi is probably the better choice if you intend to oc.

What about the free game offers from NewEgg? Only ones I see are the EVGA superclocked ones offering the Metro 2033... game looks cool and I'd probably play it, but wasn't sure how good the cards that come with it are.

I am happy with the MSI so far. But for this card price is king, avoid 768mb cards though.

yes, at your res he should def keep to 1gb, thought that was a given since all the cards he linked were 1gb however.

@OP: It depends on when you would buy the game. metro 2033 is getting lots of play on review sites right now but I don't know what its sales are like. Were you planning to actually buy it right now, or are you thinking about getting it in a year for $15-20?

That TR version evga card only has a two year warranty instead of lifetime. I would probably still lean towards the msi card unless you're planning to go out right now and pay $48 for metro 2033.

I'd get the cyclone personally, it always has a nice rep in all its previous generations. but just to be sure, read up on this particular model before purchasing. but yes Cyclone.

Thanks for all the comments.. I decided to get the MSI Cyclone AND it even came with Just Cause 2. Don't know if it's a good game or not, but free is free! :)

I have a bit of an MSI fetish. They have a nack for putting good coolers on their cards and go out of their way to let you overclock it.

Tell us how you do if you decide to overclock it
