Giving my old AMD 1.2tbird system to my little brother, and would like to know what you guys think i should put in there for a graphics card, he'll be doing a lot of gaming on it (he's 9). He got a new 17" monitor so i'm going to try to limit him to a resolution of 800x600 for gaming, maybe 1024x768.

Anyway, which graphics card would be good. I want the bottleneck in the system to be the CPU, not the graphics card. But i'm not looking to put in a 9800pro/5900ultra in there to sit and spin its wheels 80% of the time.

I used to have a 4200/64 in there, but gave that to my sister for her new rig, now i have to replace it.

let me know what you guys think. i'd like to keep it under 100 or so. will consider either GPU camp (ati/nvidia) although i'm guessing the nvidia will be the cheaper one for this range?

thanks
andy

Take that 4200 back from your sister and give it to your little brother. The 4200 is a perfect match for the 1.2GHz system.
