Geforce FX5700
Geforce 6200
Geforce 6600

Now, let me clear up why I am asking this. I'm actually trying to find out the major difference between the FX5700 and 6200 if there even IS one. Any positive help would be appreciated.

I am fairly unknowedgeable to the video card aspect of building a computer, everything else I am fine with. I just go for whatever looks like a deal. I usually buy Radeon 9250s, they serve my purpose well. I took a chance buying a 9600Pro (good deal), because I wanted to play Halo for my PC smoothly. My card freezes up every so often, goes through VPU recover, and all sorts of wierd stuff. Even turning off certain things doesn't help. I've given up trying to get answers, and now I'm gonna go for a Nvidia card instead. So should I go for an FX5700 or 6200? 6600 is up there because I might splurge a little. Any specs you want to know are in my sig.

Sorry if there is a question like this posted, but I do not have time to search through this large database to find an answer. It might take me forever. Thanks for understanding.

I didn't have internet from the time I left college until just a few days ago when my family signed back up for cable internet. That was a scary couple of weeks :p. The zoo kept me busy though.

Cheezeit, I've been using it for putting together DVDs, music and video production. I sometimes don't mind playing a few games here and there. I usually don't buy the high-end stuff, so I buy what works for me. I built this computer back in January.

As for yoyoyohowsdajello, that helps a little, now I guess I have to ask this, now seeing that the FX5200 is the same as the 6200, is the FX5700 similar to the 6600 and/or 6800?

If I remember correctly, an FX5700 performs about the same as a 9600pro or so I think. I'm not really sure how it stacks up against the 6xxx series of nvidia. I honestly haven't really looked into nvidia much lower than the 6600gt.
