the MSI GTX 560Ti isn't that loud unless gone to a 100 percent fan speed and a very high OC speed.. actually my friend owns one and even at 100% fan speed, my 460 cyclone seems to be louder than that of the twin frozr...

gramboh just purchased the MSI GTX560 TwinFrozr OC. See his feedback in post #34 in this thread. You may want to Private Message him with more specifics about the card's noise. It may be that the youtube videos had the fans running at 100% speed.

Check out some reviews for this particular card:

TwinFrozr II OC Review 1
TwinFrozr II OC Review 2

I've had this card for a few days now and it is great. Haven't had enough time to bench it, but I've done some quick testing at 960MHz core clock, default on Twiz Frozr II is 880 (memory still at 4200 haven't touched it) in 3DMark11 and Bad Company 2, peak temp stays at 62c with the fan never going above 60%. Idle is 30c. At 60% fan speed I can't distingush the video card fans to the noise from my case fans (5x Scythe 1200rpm, so relatively quiet). Very impressed with this card, will try the 960-1000MHz range on the core tonight, not that it really makes an fps difference on my old CPU, but just out of curiosity :).

Definitely recommend this card, high build quality, low temps and quiet, worth the extra $20-30 over the louder/hotter reference designs. Also NV Linux support is supposed to be superior to ATI.

Hey guys,

I made my mind up and I think that the setup is made. I'll go with the Msi N560GTX ti twinfrozr II OC.
I'm sure it runs fine in Linux and I guess that gaming in Windows will be more than perfect for quit some time.
Next week, there are some pricedrops in the stores, I'm gonna make the rest of my order and I hope to get my system up and running begin of june.
So once again thank you all.

As soon as everything is setup I post some numbers but it will stay stock for sure;)

Yeah wait until the vanilla GTX 560 comes out next week on the 17th or so. It should cause some prices drops / adjustments in your target area.
