Leadtek or Gainward has a dual-dvi Ti-4600. Some of the 8X Ti-4600 cards may have it too, but they're not out yet. As for refresh rate, the card should support it as long as your TFT's can.

Update: Yah, its Gainward, only one with Dual-DVI AFAIK. $288 at newegg :Q:Q:Q I think the price on this guy went up recently.

so i have to go with the gainward

dual 1600x1200 dvi is no problem with that card?

One workplace has a single TFT (1600x1200) so I think a generic TI 4200 DVI will do the job?

Nope, should support anything (especially an LCD) can throw at it. You may want to poll some people running 20'' Dell LCDs to make sure the GF4's look ok at that high a resolution. DVI will certainly help, but I think some people with CRTs were complaining about blurring at really high resolutions. I was hoping the 9700AIW might have dual-DVI..but it didn't happen :( For the single workstation, yah any card with DVI will be fine. Not sure what type of work you will be doing or if you are also gonna be gaming, but for straight 2D, you may consider a cheaper Radeon as their 2D is still slightly better than nVidia's (especially at higher resolutions).

Before smacking down that kinda cash, run a search in hot deals, video, and gen. hardware and type in Dell. Then PM the folks with the 20'' or larger LCDs, there are quite a few of them around. My 1900FP only does 1280x1024x32 @ 60hz, so I can't help you there.

I just ordered an Asus V9180 Video Suite Geforce 4MX440 dual DVI. US$115 at the local store.

I'm a bit worried about Asus's analogue capabilities. I've seen some pretty bad stuff from Geforce 2MX days, but apparently they're supposed to be much better these days. It's not really gonna matter all that much though since I'll be running one DVI (1280x1024) and one VGA at a relatively low resolution.

Anyways, the Geforce 4MX440 ain't so fast, but I don't game much. I'm much more interested in the dual capabilities.

nope, you'd have to get a FireGL X1 (don't know if it's out yet).

And you guys should know there's no way Hardware is gonna get a Parhelia... :)

My Dell 2000FP on a nVidia GeForce3 (pre-Ti) loooks amazing at 1600x1200 (and this is through the analog connector, too!) If I only had two via DVI. :)

I'd get a Built by ATI Radeon 7500, Brand-Name G4-MX, or maybe a Matrox G550 since he won't be playing any games... what's the point in getting a fast card from a no-name company for this application? I'd go lower end with brand name to try to ensure that he doesn't get random crashes because of poor build quality :)

Mine was a brand-name Geforce4MX. Asus, a good name too. Little good that did me. :disgust:

There are no Radeon 7500 cards that support dual DVI, so that could be one point.

Matrox G550

Matrox G550 only supports "Crystal-clear images at resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 on both panels" could be another point.

You complained about the analog connection, he's gonna be using DVI :)

Re: the Radeon 7500: Read my post again. The whole post. Even the quote.

Re: The G550: Admittedly, I had not verified that the G550 was limited to 1280x1024 , though with Matrox's vaunted image quality, he could just run it through the analog connection. To get 1600x1200 DVI with Matrox, he'd have to get the Parahelia.
