Actually he has a valid question/point. Most of the time a female animal will be more tender - the males will be bigger but also likely to be a tougher meat.
 
During the time of "rut" buck deer have a lot of
"juices" flowing and they smell musty and their
meat requires a good soaking in cold water to
draw out the blood and other fluids to make it
not as "wild" tasting. Usually meat from a doe
isn't as bad.
 
And meat in a modern hamburger is processed in such scale that there might be bits from hundreds of juicy animals, so chances are, you're eating meat from both at the same time.
 
Glen speaks the truth. Most of the pigs and cattle you eat are castarated. Othrewise they taste gross. Of course in a hamburger it probably wouldn't make much difference.
