Which Geforce3 is best?

I'm hoping to buy one of these babies this summer, but I'm a little stumped on which brand to buy. I realize that the heart of the video card, the Nvidea chip is the same, but is one brand better than the others? Also, Maybe I should just wait for the Geforce3 Ultra???

Right now I think LeadTek or VisionTek is in the lead.

They are all for the most part based on NVIDIA's reference design. I have the Visiontek and it overclocks great and looks great to. The only problem is that it does not feature DVI interface (only has 15-pin VGA and TV-out), and also that it comes with a loud fan. I replaced it with a blue orb and the noise went away and it overclocks better also. The leadtek has a really big fan so you won't necessarily have to replace the fan plus it features DVI out as well. I would go with a Leadtek if given a choice but I couldn't wait for the card.

Either brand will do just fine. I have the Visiontek and I really liked it a lot! Some have complained about the noise from the fan, but I haven't noticed it from mine...maybe cuz of the fact that I'm deaf. 🙂

my fan makes no noise(visiontek)

though the damned thing is on IRQ 9(sharing it with the hard drive for fux sake) so its mcCrashy. ill get it moved over to 11 where it should be somehow...

Patgod.. try to disable your COM ports if you don't need them and or your USB (in the Bios). Also make sure that in your BIOS that PnP OS is set to no/disabled or something like that. Sorry not talking about the GF3 here. I like GeForce3. 🙂
