which Geforce2 GTS Pro should I get... or ATI Radeon 64MB

hey guys, I'm building my first computer, and I'm reviewing all the possible components I'm thinking of getting. So far all I've actually bought is a Lian Li-12 Box, a Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 60MB HD, 16X Pioneer DVD slot drive (black ofcourse, to go with my box!), and a sony floppy drive (black again). I'm waiting for the new KT266 boards, so this system is going to be a DDR machine (prob 1 ghz Athlon). I was going to get the Radeon 64MB, but I've heard awful stuff about motherboard compatiblity the via boards, although the $180 price tag is very enticing. I have also looked at the Geforce2 GTS Pro's and especially like the Prophet and Leadtek. Any recommendations? Also, I was inclined to buy the retail verions, but should I bother for what looks like up to $50 price difference? This is my first system I'm building, and for some reason, I feel a little more secure buying the retail, though I don't know if this is founded or not. Lastly, any advice from you more experienced guys concerning building my first system? thanks alot, i have to tell you, it was from reading these forums (and alot of tech web sites), that convinced me to build my own.
