OK i wil be getting a geforce 4 4400 this week, my budget is around 270$

So far these are options i have:

eVga - THis looks like is has a better cooling system than the standard cards, since it cools the ram too.

PNY - Comes with 3D graphics is the only plus.

MSI - Comes with 3 games + some other games? But it has a cheaper cooler...(plastic cover instead of metal)

What you guys think? Im currently leaning towards the PNY as it s cheaper and I can get it with very low shipping.

Ram sinks=questionable cooling
PNY=MSI

If you want the games get the MSI, if you want the 3d glasses get the PNY

I'd get the PNY, it's what I'm using.

More of a gimmick. Have to run really low resolutions (640x480 or 800x600). And it's use is sketchy. I was really blown away by a couple of games though. Operation Flashpoint was fantastic. It looked freakin cool. Like stuff was jumping off the monitor. But the problem is that when you shoot stuff the blood looks like it's right in your face, so it makes it difficult to shoot. And it makes guaging distances EXTREMELY difficult. Like in a chopper in 3rd person the chopper looked awesome, but I couldn't see anything further away.

Alot of games won't work at all. Like Flight Sim 2002. The control panels are missing when you go into the stereo mode.

Wish I could figure out how to make the desktop or pictures/movies (;)) support it, but I don't think it works like that. Certainly not worth paying extra for, and I may stick mine in FS/FT.

Plus you look like a complete fool.

What makes you think that? All the GF4's use the same memory, you're as well off with any of them for overclocking. If you think the Leadtek's "all for show" monstrosity of a heatsink will make a difference, it won't.

I have the Leadtek and I do belive the heatsink does help. You cant have too much cooling IMHO. As for price well I paid less for my Leadtek then any card buying from retail cause it didnt have sales tax. Now im sure I will hear that Toms hardware is no crack but the Leadtek card overclocked higher then any he tested because of the nice heatsink.

I'd like to get the leadtek, but its over my budget.

I can get a PNY for 285$ with shipping, thats 2nd day fedex too. So if I can find a place with the MSI and a price like that, i may go for it, but currently its the pny as i cant find anything cheaper.

I tried 2 PNY cards and they both would screw up removing the drivers. If I went to try new drivers I would get no boot up and a window saying NO IMPUT SIGNAL. i would have to put in another card to get to windows, then remove the drivers and put the PNY card abck in to try new ones. So for me they didnt make a good card from what I tried. If you are on a budget I would say wait till you can get a Leadtek in your price range, you wont be sorry with it.

May I ask, was this a newer popular brand of motherboard you were using? And what PNY card was it?

I found a nice deal on the MSI, thing is its not in stock yet at the store. SInce MSI and PNY are both the same manufacturers, would i just be gettign the same card? I'm not concerned about stuff packaged with the card. But I'm not going to wait a few more days to get the same exact card.
