HI
I am going to be upgradiing to a Geforce3 and was wondering if they all will support the games that will be written for DirectX 8. And also, is it better to get the orginal Geforce3 or get the Geforce3 TI200 ?

Thanks

Ti200 is the better buy since it can be o/c'ed to GF3 or Ti500 speeds.

All GeForce3s are DirectX 8 cards. But the GF3Ti200 would be a better buy since it's cheaper and can overclock quite well.

The Ti's have one or two extra features as well....not enough to make it worth buying a Ti over a regular on that alone, but since the Ti200 is cheaper, it's a little bonus.

Wrong.. All video cards can "run under" DirectX 8, but not all support all of DirectX 8's "features".. There's a big difference.. :)

There's a big difference between running under DX8 and supporting DX8 specific.

The Voodoo3 is a DX6 card. DX6 is still fully supported in DX8, but anything new from DX7 or DX8 is software emulated, not run in hardware on the videocard.
