I am finishing up a dual Athlon engineering workstation for a guy I know and have had lots of problems building this box. Finally found out the main problem was due to bad USB in the AMD 760MP chipset, which is apparently true of all boards using this chipset. (I am using the Asus A7M266-D) Anyway, finally after figuring that out, I had one other compatiblity problem. I purchased a Radon 9700 Pro for the machine and if it is in the box, the motherboard will only work with 2 GB of memory. Fails the POST after IDing the CPUs with more than 2 GB and the Radeon in the system. I have found out with a lowly GE Force 2MX that it will POST with up to 3 GB and run solidly. So now I am looking to replace the Radeon with a TI4600. So which one? The cards listed below are all cards I can use so I am looking for experience with these cards and companies. All responses are greatly appreciated. Rock solid stability and compatibility are the primary requirements after performance. Also now considering offering the guy a Quadro card but they are expensive. Any recommendations on that option are also appreciated.

Leadtek
MSI
Gainward
Jaton

For the Quadro it would be a PNY 750 XGL ( I guess these guys picked up for the defunct ELSA).

Check out the 3d labs vp870 also. About the same price range as the quadro 750. You probably don't want an ati card but the the fire gl8800 is just $275 at newegg.
