So I finished FarCry 4 a couple weeks ago and AC Black Flag a couple weeks before that. Looking at my backlog, I've got a few options but not sure which I want to pick up next.

EDIT: Forgot to add AC: Unity to the poll 🙁

I voted for Skyrim....I just started playing a couple weeks ago....I spent 2 days checking out mods, searching, what are the best mods...mods mods mods.

I finally said f it and just started playing (I did DL the high res texture pack from steam) and I'm glad I did, the game is great vanilla. I'm sure I'll add a few as I play, but I would recommend just firing it up and see where it takes you....If you decide to play it.

Try Unreal Tournament IV, it's free but still in "pre" alpha. Updates every month. Input from the community. It's coming along really nice. People say it has the UT99 feel to it

Yeah I looked into mods and got overwhelemed also. I'm just going to play it as-is once I get around to it.

Thanks for the heads up on UT IV, I've always been a fan of the UT series, will certainly check this out.

Skyrim should be the game you play in between other games. Your backlog will only grow, if it's all you play.

N/A on Watch Dogs

The Witcher 2 is amazing, but on PC, you really want to get the FOV fix, IMO.

Tomb Raider: the 2013 reboot? Yeah, it's pretty solid. The Guardians of Light should be on sale, again, soon, if not now, so pick that up, while you're at it.

I would vote for something like Batman or Tomb Raider. Honestly, in that order.

Simply because you can play through them both, thoroughly enjoy them, in a couple dozen hours, and be ready to move on.

Personally loved Witcher 2, I'd recommend it to anyone. Here's a bit of a warning though. It takes a lot of grinding to level up. It's a more slowed down game, hard boss battles even on the easier difficulties. Lots of stuff too it, it's a very complicated game. Some people like that, some people don't. There's a nice story too, it's my favorite game in your list. I'd rate it 8/10.

Oh and here's a hilarious runner up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_YSWGJsdEg
What can I say, we've got to give the good runner ups a chance.

This is the dillemma I am in with so many games.

Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Witcher 2 etc... got so many HUGE game in my backlog #firstworldproblem

Yeah, the RPG games will be supplemented by another game (or two) I don't have the required attention span to focus on a single game for that long of a period. Right now I'm about half way through Uncharted 3 on PS3 and I'm also slowly progressing in my career in Project Cars (PC of course) and I play the occasional round or two in BF4 as well.

Isn't Skyrim broken now cause the creator of Sky UI and also Midas Magic sold out or did they come back or put back their mod onto Nexus again?

Very tough. The only way I can approach a list like this is eliminating the things I'd definitely not play first.

Batman: Arkham Origins - While the first 2 games were really very well made I thought this game obviously deviated from the winning forumla and just wasn't quite up to scratch, I played and 100% both the prior games and gave up on Origins about 3-4 hours into it, to give you some idea.

The Witcher 2 - I just can't bring myself to like the Witcher games, frustratingly difficult and unforgiving, awkward combat just make these moment to moment gameplay awful for me.

Watch Dogs - Just no.

That leaves:

Skyrim
GTA V (PS4)
Tomb Raider

These are all FANTASTIC games in their own right, it's hard to say which is really better because they're all different kinds of games, I completed Tomb Raider 100% which is very rare for me, I thought this was really well made. GTA V is a marvel of modern AAA gaming and Skyrim is a bit older but still an epic game that I've sunk probably something like 250 hours into. Play which ever one of these 3 appeal to your play style and interests the most.

I literally gave up playing the witcher 2 when you drop into that boss area in like a tomb/cave thing, he knocks you down and then can knock you down again before you can even get back up, he was basically just impossible to kill even after looking up tactics and trying about 200 times. I had a huge problem getting past the early areas in the castle siege I was just getting decked every time, I really can't be arsed with games with obtusely difficult parts, I play RPGs for the experience of the story and being unreasonably difficult does nothing but detract from the game, ain't nobody got time for dat.

Im kind of surprised the witcher 2 is on this list of yours, you have obviously played witcher 1.makes no sense.either you loved it or hated it?no middle ground with this game imo.*scratches head*.The point im trying to make is the witcher 1 was so good(imo)you shouldnt be asking this question(and yes im a witcher fanboy)😛.

I agree. I think you must be talking about thr battle with the Karyn. I gave up there too. And the difficulties were made ten times worse by those abominable QTEs. Words cannot adequately express how much I hate those in a game like this. I just dont see why some gamers think punishing difficulty is some kind of virtue in a game. Having difficult higher settings is great for those that want the challenge, but "easy" should in fact be easy.

I think anyone with more than 2 brain cells passed that battle.just sayin.

Yea, thanks for the compliment. That must be why there are save game files on the internet to get past this part, for all the people with only one brain cell. Honestly, I am older and not that skilled, I admit it. I am sure you are much better than I am, but really, is it necessary to be rude and insulting? And with my less than two brain cells, I have managed to finish many other RPGs without wanting to throw my mouse through the screen. But too be honest, I wasnt really enjoying the game that much anyway before this battle.
