I dunno, my friends all play CS, before then I had very limited experience with Unreal Tournament but after installing it today, I've gotta say, it's pretty damn awesome (playing the original). The graphics actually look pretty damn good, much better than CS, with 1024X768 resolution and 16X Ani, 6X AA I'm actually only getting 40FPS!!!!WTF?

UT, but I have not played the first one in a couple months. It's all UT2004 for me.

2004 was good, but I let my older brother borrow the discs.... I don't know where they are now. I guess I'll just have to wait for UT2007 before I can play again.

I have played CS since beta 3 all the way up till 1.5 for quite some time.
But you really gotta admit CS isnt as much about hand-eye coordination or quickness; you cant be too daring to rack up kills or dodge stuff the way you do in UT. The whole gameplay is much more static and sluggish, you cant do much once you start getting hit and being stunned.
Say what you want about strategy, teamwork or whatever other excuse... the truth is in CS, you can camp and easily get cheap kills from heavily injured enemy. in faster paced games like UT, the difference in skills really show whos got it and who hasnt. People would actually go back and play one of those faster paced games when they feel they werent doing too well in CS.

 old school UT. Doesn't look half bad either with the high resolution textures (1680x1050 4x/8x helps too :p)

Yup, I actually play much better in Unreal than I ever did in CS, you're pretty much spot on...

Both have their Pros/Cons, but overall UT has more variety and wins. That saiid, I play CS:S more than any other game.
