Hey guys...I decided to build my self a new system....my old system was an XP2400 and the one I wanna buy now is:

AMD BARTON 3000+
Leadtek Winfast K7NCR18D Pro2
OCZ DDR400 256MB X 2
WD 8mb 80g HDD X 2
FX card???????

So which FX card should I get, I am interested in a 256 meg....any suggestions...before ordering it?

most will say gainward

and even more will say "get a 9800 pro" in a thread titled "which fx5900 ultra"

I got the Leadtek 5900ultra from Newegg & can confirm that it does have the twin turbo II cooling setup(there was some speculation if the ones newegg had were refrence design or leadteks own cooling system)

I've had excellent experiences with my last 2 Gainward cards (GF3 Golden Sample and GF4-4200 Golden Sample).

They're usually the same overclock potential. However Gainward is the brand most people have luck with. Since gainward guarantee's better than average gpu chips are selected and its more likely you can overclock them better. Now its up to you.. but the WaterCooled setup that Gainward came out with should have great overclocking potential.. one could break 1100mem 1000 ram easily with it. 🙂 (considering you have a good radiator and pump)
