Which free FPS multiplayer game should i try?

Accidentally stumbled upon this wiki entry which i found quite interesting. I'm looking at the free F.E.A.R download and maybe the game Nexuiz. Anyone play any of these games before?

I tried F.E.A.R. and could only stand it for 5 minutes. To me there are wayyyyy better FPSes out there. But it is free. Fvck it, how much is Unreal Tournament 2004? Buy that and you're set.

It's just the multiplayer aspect of the game that is free. It's called F.E.A.R. Combat (bottom of page).

I still play Enemy Territory... Pretty pictures does not a good game make. F.E.A.R. Combat is extremely boring.
