I used to be a rum lover but I can't stand bicardi and capt. morgans anymore. I moved on to Jack D. which good for a while then I quit drinking for 6 months and then tried Jack again and it was nasty...So I tried Gentlemen Jack and that too was nasty. Now all I have to say is give me a nice bottle of Makers Mark...it's great

OK, OK, I'm a total noob but my new crew of friends are alcoholics... What's a good, affordable (but not Maddog "wine" CHEAP) liquor to have around to offer guests? I mean, I'm not rich but I'm getting tired of offering people drinks and really meaning diet coke...

depends how I'm drinking it.

if I'm drinking it straight, then Southern Comfort (preferably on the rocks).

for mixing, vodka or gin, depending on my mood.
